It is our honor to host the very first American Jump Rope National Championship! Our goal is to create an incredible experience for athletes, audience members, and anyone involved as a volunteer.  In short, this is something you won’t want to miss!

Grand National qualifiers will have the unique opportunity to compete at the Duke Energy Center Memorial Hall a picturesque auditorium and the perfect stage for our sport.  Tickets will be sold on Ticketmaster and the event will be broadcast live!

American Jump Rope National Championship Southern Heritage Celebration

All event participants and on-site non-participants will receive a ticket with their paid AMJRNC registration. They will be seated in the upper section of the auditorium with their team.  A complimentary ticket will be available to the Coach of Record of all off-site teams that are AMJRF members. Grands Volunteers will be pre-selected and given a volunteer wristband and ticket on Sunday morning to gain entrance into the event.

If you purchase a half day ticket (option 2 or 3), you may purchase an additional half day ticket at a later time, but your seat may change based on availability.  As seats fill up in the front of house additional seats will be made available. Any attendee that leaves during the event, may show their ticket to get back into the event.

All volunteers must be AMJRF members.  All judges must be WJRF certified. Judges will receive a judging stipend at the conclusion of the event if they complete their judging expectations.

* All- Inclusive On-site Participants and Non-Participants must send in a key deposit to guarantee their room and meal options.  The key deposit covers the cost of the dorm key, dorm room key, and dining card.  A $275 check payable to NC State University per participant must be submitted by May 1, 2019.  Coach of Record will send all team checks to Anita Gabel, 941 Longbrook Drive, Wadsworth, OH  44281.  Checks payable to NC State University.

The Coach of Record will collect all dorm keys and return them to NC State at the time of check-out.  If all keys are returned without damage, the key deposit check will be returned to the Coach of Record.  Dorm keys that are lost will require the key deposit fee to be utilized to cover the cost to replace the lock and key.  After the last day of check out, all remaining checks will be destroyed.

Registration and Deadlines

March 1, 2019:  Early registration and payment in full due.

April 1, 2019:  Late registration and payment due. ($100 late fee will be added to each package)

May 1, 2019:   Competition entries are due.

Athletes/Judges:  Sign up on Wild Apricot.  Early registration receives a $10 discount towards registration.  All participants and volunteers must be an AMJRF Member.  Athletes are encouraged to forward a copy of their registration receipt to their Coach of Record.  Registration will open on December 1, 2018 .

Coaches/Team Managers:  Register competition entries via WJRF Registration service.  Registration will be opened after January 1, 2019.  We will use a heat style competition format. Competition entries must be completed by May 1, 2019.

PAYMENT:   Payment can be completed by the athlete, parent or coach of record. Choose the option that works best for your team. Early payments must be made by March 1, 2019.  Late payments will include a $100 late fee that must be made by April 1, 2019.  

1.  Individual Payment - Athletes and on-site guests may make their registration payment during the online registration by credit card.

2.  Team Payment - Coaches may choose to make one payment by credit card after all participants have completed the registration process.  Coaches will enter each jumper as a guest under their membership.  All guest must be registered under the same package.  Remember to use the jumpers email that is associated with their AMJRF membership.

REFUNDS:  Refunds requested on or before April 1, 2019 will eligible for a 75% refund. Refunds requested between April 2 and April 15, 2019 will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds after April 15, 2019.

CREDENTIALS

All athletes and on-site non-participants will be required to have an ID (National Credential) to gain assess to event locations.  Please follow the instructions to upload your photo ID on your AMJRF Membership Profile.  All athletes will be required to provide a valid government issued a form of identification (Examples:  Passport, Drivers License, or Birth Certificate) at the time of check-in.  All athletes must have their National Credential with them when they enter the competition floor.

Housing Options

NC State University Lee Residence Hall 

All-inclusive package housing will take place at the NC State University Lee Residence Hall.   On-site laundry facilities are free.  Bring or purchase detergent.   There is a floor lounge on each floor with a TV.  Wifi is free through the NCS guest wifi.  All participants will receive a card to the dorms for entrance.  The campus is protected by emergency responses teams committed to Wolfpack safety.  The university houses its own 9-1-1 call center, features 400 blue light emergency communicators and officers who patrol 24/7.

All inclusive package participants will be dining at the Fountain Dining Hall. The all-you-care-to-eat dining hall serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Choose from an extensive selection of daily entrees and sides, plus a salad bar, deli/wrap station, hot grill station, fresh fruit and dessert bar featuring Howling Cow Ice Cream. Transportation/Parking

All-inclusive on-site lodging participants will have transportation included to the event venues through the NC State Motor fleet.  Pick up and drop off will be in front of NC State University Lee Hall.  On-site lodging participants must show their event ID to use this service.  Additional parking is available for local and car rental participants and/or spectators.  

1.  Dillard Middle School:  Parking is free.  Enter the front doors of the Middle School.

2.  Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts:  Parking on the street is free for 2 hours.  SHAW Parking in the McLauren parking lot is $7/day.  Additional parking will vary in cost based on location.

3.  NC State University Lee Hall - Participants can park in the Dan Allen Parking Deck, West Deck or West Lot.  Pre-paid parking is available for $10/day by electronic purchase using an email and license plate.  Rental car license plate numbers can be added to the day of the rental through the electronic process.  Electronic parking permits can be purchased after January 1, 2019, through NC State transportation.   Pay for parking each day on campus for $15/day.   Free parking on Saturday & Sunday.

All participants and volunteers will need to verify agreement with the AMJRF Code of Ethics at the time of registration. Any participant that doesn't follow the AMJRF Code of Ethics during the American Jump Rope National Championship events may lose participation privileges.

AMJRF Waiver & Release of Liability

All participants and volunteers will need to acknowledge that they have read and understood the AMJRF medical release information during online registration.  https://amjrf.wildapricot.org/AMJRF-Waiver-Release-Liability/

EVENT CHECK-IN:  All athletes and a Coach of Record will check in at Lee Hall in the Lobby.  All athletes will be required to show a picture ID or birth certificate to receive credentials.  A Coach of Record for each team will pick up the Welcome packet, event and volunteer/judges shirts, competition gifts, and competition heat sheets.  All competitor events and heats and music will need to be checked and confirmed at this time.

  • June 20, 2018 - 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM & 8:30 - 11:00 PM.  (Closed:  6:30 - 8:30 PM for the Coaches/Volunteer Meeting)

COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS (Judges, pushers, or tabulators) MEETING:  Meeting begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the Dillard Drive Middle School in the Auditorium.  Volunteer assignments have been issued to the Coach of Record.

  • All teams are required to have one coach (Coach of Record) represented at the meeting in order to compete.  The Coach of record will communicate with the Tournament Director throughout the event for all event concerns.
  • All teams are required to have one WJRF certified judge for every 4 jumpers that the team enters into the competition. If you do not have enough judges, plan to provide individuals to help as “pushers" (station organizers) or “tabulators” (score checkers).  
  • All volunteers and judges must be an AMJRF member.
  • Volunteers need to check in at the Volunteer table each morning to receive a complimentary wristband.
  • All WJRF Judges will receive a stipend for judging at the conclusion of the event on Sunday, June 23, 2018.  Judges will receive judge shirt, lunch, hospitality room entrance,  Event Entrance Ticket on the day of Judging, and stipend check.  AMJRF Judge shirt will be issued during event check-in to the Coach of Record.
  • All volunteers must wear black non-athletic shorts or business casual pants with the AMJRF volunteer issued shirt.  (Volunteer shirts are given to the Coach of Record during event check-in).  Please look professional.
  • All Coach of Record's that are AMJRF members will receive a Coach Credential!!

MEALS AND CONCESSIONS:  Meals will be provided for those that have purchased an All-inclusive on-site package.  Concessions will be available for all other participants and spectators.  Off-site volunteers will be provided with lunch on the day that they volunteer. On-site volunteers will have lunch at the NC State University Fountain Dining Hall.

  • Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts:  A boxed lunch will be served for all on-site participants at Memorial Hall downstairs in the Carolina Room.  Additional concession items will be available for cash purchases.  All off-site participants and spectators are encouraged to each lunch in downtown Raleigh. 
  • NC State University Dining:  Fountain Dining Hall will be the location for most all-inclusive on-site package meals.  This spacious, modern dining hall seats 800 people offering all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch, & dinner.  Dietary concerns can be checked on the kiosk monitor at the front of the dining facility.  All items are clearly marked with dietary concerns and nutritional information.  It is located on the south side of Lee Residence Hall at 2520 Sullivan Dr, Raleigh, NC 27695.  All-inclusive package attendees will receive a meal card at check-in for daily meal purchases. This will be located with the ID Badge (Credentials).
