Winter Classic & Workshop
Welcome ALL! Comet Skippers is hosting the 2019 Winter Classic on January 26, 2019. The Winter Classic Workshop is for beginner and elite jumpers.
All competitors, judges, and volunteers need to register. There is no fee for judges and volunteers.
The Winter Classic is additionally named as the fourth in the AMJRF Classic Series Championship. Athletes that compete and rank in the top 8 over all, will compete at the AMJRF Classic Finals on March 2, 2019 at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH.
**NEW** Single Rope Compulsory Freestyle (SRCF): Novice Jumpers can compete in the Compulsory short routine evaluation (Multiple Under's and Rope Manipulation). This event has no division or categories. Jumpers will receive feedback on their efforts. The compulsory short routine has been developed with varying levels of difficulty so that the new jumpers can use the compulsories to develop their skills progressively in a routine building framework. Jumpers are graded according to the criteria used in the Jump Rope Judge App scoring system. Jumpers will receive an overall impression score in one of 3 categories, (Tried it, Passed it, Nailed it). Suggestions for improving presentations will be included as separate comments. Compulsories are a prescribed sequence of skills that must be followed according Level 1 or Level 2. Jumpers can choose one of the two routines depending upon their current skill level. Level 1 and Level 2 routines have been pre-judges by AMJRF Judge Trainers.
